In the heart of Popoyo, a dream took root in January 2023, blossoming into the luxurious Hide & Seek Resort by December 2023. Founded by Daniel and Emileah, builder and interior designer, an Australian couple with a shared passion for the raw beauty of Nicaragua and a vision for a haven that marries adventure with comfort. Our doors swung open in December 2023, welcoming our first guests to celebrate New Year's Eve amidst the elegance of Mediterranean minimalism and the warmth of Nicaraguan hospitality.
The creation of Hide & Seek was fueled by Daniel’s love for surf, his eagerness to share the joy of riding waves, and a commitment to water safety. For Emileah, it was about crafting spaces that speak to the soul, blending her flair for interior design with the desire to offer a slice of paradise that feels both heavenly and impeccably clean. Together, we envisioned a place where the vibrancy of Nicaraguan life is complemented by serene luxury, offering our guests the best of both worlds.
Hide and Seek Resort
Popoyo is located on the Emerald Coast of Nicaragua, a stretch of coastline that has quietly remained one of Central America’s best-kept secrets. This hidden paradise has been waiting for the world to discover it, offering an unspoiled blend of natural beauty, rhythm, and authenticity that is increasingly rare. Pristine beaches meet lush forests, and world-class surf breaks roll in alongside long, open stretches of sand that still feel wild and uncrowded.
Life here moves at a gentler pace. It’s not unusual to see horses walking down to the beach at sunset, fishermen casting nets from the shore, or locals guiding cattle through the tide. Fresh produce is grown nearby, seafood is landed daily, and the connection between land, ocean, and community is deeply felt.

All rooms at Hide & Seek Resort are built to the same standard of quality, style, and comfort. Clean architectural lines, natural materials, and a neutral palette create calm, light-filled spaces designed to support rest and recovery. Every room is equipped with air conditioning, hot water rain showers, comfortable bedding, and generous space. All rooms have an ensuite bathroom and walk out to the pool.
Women’s shared accommodation - $3200 CAD
There is only 1 shared room with quadruple occupancy (2 single beds left)
Women’s private accommodation - $4350 CAD
There are eight private rooms, all with king beds.
Please note: all private rooms can be made into a shared double occupancy upon request.
We understand that this is an investment and we want to make this as accessible as possible for you. Payments can be paid either in full, half now and half at a later date, or in interest free monthly instalment's.
Payment must be settled one month prior to retreat. A 500$ deposit is non-refundable.

This helps ensure your money is secure and used exclusively for its intended purpose.
